Her mother was Cynthia Louise Bissett vice president of mobile company Verizon. Joseph Anthony Germanotta Jr. is her father, director of an online company and businessman. Born into the context of a Catholic home, she was brought up in Manhattan's Upper East Side. She was accepted by her parents into the Convent of the Sacred Heart A religious, exclusive and exclusive school. Music was her passion when she was a young kid. She learned piano and at the age of 13she composed her first song. She's been a part of many open mic events. She was a big fan of Queen Michael Jackson Madonna as well as David Bowie. She took music classes at the Tisch School of Art of New York University after completing her secondary education. But, following high school she decided to pursue a musical career and abandoned the study.
